The Simple Approach to Retirement

Start now, follow the advice of the most succesful investor in the world, Warren Buffett.

He recommends investing 90% in an S&P index fund such as Vanguards (VFINX or VOO) and 10% in a short term bond fund. You can find similar products at Schwab and Fidelity. Go to their websites and get the education you need on investing. Mostly commision free.

Dollar cost average means when stocks are high you buy fewer shares and when low you get more for the same $$. At the end of 20-40 years of work you should be able to retire.
